The novel “Ginga Tetsudou no Chichi” won the 158th Naoki Prize and portrays the life of Kenji Miyazawa from the perspective of his father, Masujiro. The original author, Keiki Monoi, collected numerous materials related to Masujiro from a vast collection of Kenji Miyazawa’s documents to depict the “parent-child love” between Kenji Miyazawa and his father. In the live-action film adaptation of “Ginga Tetsudou no Chichi,” Koji Yakusho takes on the leading role. Additionally, Masaki Suda portrays Kenji Miyazawa, and Nana Mori plays the role of his sister, Toshi.
