“Adapted from the youth novel set in the context of the Hakone Ekiden relay race, written by Naoki Prize-winning author Miura Shion, the stage play ‘The Wind is Blowing Strongly’ opened on January 18th (Wednesday) at Theater 1010 in Kitasenju, Tokyo. The original work has gained widespread acclaim across various generations, starting with its manga adaptation and radio drama in 2007, followed by stage play and live-action film adaptations in 2009, and a television anime adaptation in 2018.
